Our
Story
a passion for capturing life through film.
My goal is to provide clients with the tools to see their visions come to life. After studying film in college at UCSB, I began to work with bands of all levels and grew a passion for capturing lifestyle and turning it into meaningful content that resonated with its audience. From music videos to lifestyle productions, I aim to really capture what my clients are trying to say and what they value through the art of film and photography. That connection between the images on the screen and the audience is the ultimate goal.
I want to make the SLO Backlots a space to fuel the creative culture in my hometown of San Luis Obispo. I feel there is such a huge art community in SLO, but not enough places to nourish that passion. Luckily my wife Courtney has been willing to jump into this crazy undertaking with me no questions asked! From there, we have redesigned and built every room by hand to bring our vision to life. The space truly blossomed into a representation of ourselves. It’s been such a great journey and we hope it can cultivate not only art, but a sense of community for SLO and surrounding cities.
